Katy Perry, one of the judges on the reality show American Idol, has decided to quit the show after feeling that she was portrayed negatively by the producers. Throughout the season, Perry faced criticism for various reasons, including allegedly misbehaving with contestants, mom-shaming them, and acting rudely towards them.
However, Perry believes that a significant portion of the backlash she received was due to the way the show's episodes were edited, making her appear as the "nasty judge."
One incident involved Perry trolling contestant Sara Beth Liebe, who later quit the show and expressed her disappointment with the singer's comment. In another instance, Perry received boos from the audience when she criticized contestant Nutsa Buzaladze's outfit. While Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie were surprised by the audience's reaction, Perry seemed unaffected.
Despite the controversies, Perry reportedly has a unique sense of humor and does not have any ill intent. It remains to be seen if she will return as a judge in the next season of American Idol.
